How Much Is A Blackberry Pearl Worth

Motown '60-'70 Infidelity

I saw this special on TV, while I was cleaning the house, I will always be nostalgic for those years, even though I have not lived, but they are part of our DNA .. is then also a history of racial integration, in a very different way from what I propose today even the most idealistic ...

The Motown Records, Inc. is a record label founded in Detroit in Michigan .

Founded January 12 1959 by Berry Gordy as Tamla Records , famous for his record label specializing in Rhythm and blues and Soul .

The term "Motown" was born as "motor town" because Detroit was a city of engines for the large number of factories and workshops' s car in the city.

The celebration of 50 years the label invented by Berry Gordy in Detroit is an opportunity to relive the golden age of that unique mixture of soul and rock 'n' roll that has nice, quite unexpectedly, the honor of the charts for artists of color. Since then are not longer confined to the ghetto of the Billboard charts that style only for the artists blacks. But winning the public-and-white TV.

In the America of the sixties recipe Gordy (a pack of easy listening, catchy and danceable on a gospel) is disruptive. It creates a kind unique, instantly recognizable, very different from the soul which comes from the southern U.S..

On December 12, 1959 Berry Gordy started the adventure that would have mixed the two styles, soul and rock 'n' roll, creating the distinctive "Motown Sound." A result that will go beyond the intentions the same creator, becoming a symbol of success and, subsequently, of racial integration. The slogan "The Sound of Young America" \u200b\u200bin the mid-sixties has already become something real, and the Motown sound exceeds the boundaries of race until then maintained by other styles.

The Motown sound is imposed in the sixties, thanks to the recipe Gordy Music played by a group of authors well together and a base of musicians working for most interpreters, giving a ' music which was common and recognizable.

The period Motown Sound indicates a style of soul music with very distinctive features, such as the use of low, a particular melodic structure, arrangement, and a unique vocal style.

Among the famous artists who have recorded with Motown , there are

The Jackson 5 with Michael & Jermaine Jackson , Marvin Gaye , The Commodores , The Contours , Stevie Wonder , Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Rick James , The Temptations , Tammi Terrell , The Four Tops , Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Diana Ross & The Supremes
